Cybersecurity Engineer
Saturn Terminal moves water on real farms. Our platform reads soil sensors and satellite imagery, generates irrigation plans, and opens valves in the field. A security failure here is not an abstraction. It is somebody's crop.
We are hiring our first dedicated security engineer to own that surface end to end.
What you will do
- Own application security across our API surface, web platform, and customer dashboards
- Run threat modeling on the paths that connect cloud services to field hardware
- Build security review into how we ship rather than bolting it on afterward
- Lead penetration testing and coordinate outside assessments
- Stand up monitoring, alerting, and incident response that a small team can actually run
- Handle security questionnaires and compliance reviews from insurance and enterprise customers
What we are looking for
- Several years in application or infrastructure security, ideally somewhere you were the one holding it
- Practical depth on web application vulnerabilities, authentication, and access control
- Comfort reading and reviewing code across a modern web stack
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and edge networking
- Clear writing. You will explain risk to people who are not engineers
Nice to have
- Experience securing IoT or industrial control systems
- Background with SOC 2 or similar compliance work
This role is remote. We are a small team, so the ownership is real from week one.
